Design

The tonneau-shaped casing of the RM 30-01 is among the hardest to make in the watchmaking business. The case is composed of polished, microblasted, and satin-finished titanium. Additionally, the watch features a skeletonised mechanism with stacked, diamond-shaped grade 5 titanium bridges.

The Richard Mille RM 30-01 Automatic with Declutchable Rotor has many features, including: 

Movement: mechanism that winds itself and has a detachable rotor. The RM 30-01 features a five-position adjustable weight system with a changeable geometry rotor. This enables the owner to adjust the winding ability to fit their wearing preferences and way of life.

Power reserve: Around 55 hours 

Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds, large date, function selector, power-reserve indicators 

Rotor: When the spring is fully wrapped, the detachable variable-geometry rotor automatically disengages.

Case: Made from a blend of 90% grade 5 titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium 

The RM 30-01 comes in two case variations: 

Red gold and titanium: The bezel and caseback are made from red gold, while the case middle is made from titanium. 

Titanium: The entire watch is made from titanium.

Both versions of the watch come with a black rubber strap and titanium folding clasp.

The Richard Mille RM 30-01 automatic watch has several functions, including:

Function selector - The wearer can choose between winding (W), date correction (D), or hands-setting (H) mode by pressing a button at two o'clock. The mode that is selected is indicated on the dial above the date.

Winding indicator - A winding indicator at 11 o'clock shows whether the rotor is in winding mode or disengaged. 

Power reserve indicator - An orange and blue indicator shows the power reserve. 

The RM 30-01 also features the RMAR2 caliber, which is designed to optimize energy transmission and production. The watch is available in two tonneau case variations: 5N red gold and grade 5 titanium.
